Our Cremation Safeguards
At Conway-Markham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, we provide experiences that celebrate life. We know that togetherness and having a shared, uplifting service experience with family, friends, and neighbors help healing begin.
Our Standards of Excellence
1) Your Loved One Matters to Us
While every funeral home offers cremation services, you can rest assured knowing we have created a meticulous process for managing every detail of a cremation. Every step is done with the same care and attention we would want our own family members to receive.
2) Tracking System
Every step of your loved one’s care is documented in our tracking system and they will be assigned a unique identification number, which is stamped into a stainless steel identification disc. This number is used to track every phase of the cremation process. Our tracking system includes date and time of arrival at our facility and name of the transfer technician. Personal belongings are cataloged and placed in a secure area for their return to the family.
State law requires completion of authorization forms which we will provide to you and help you complete. In addition, we will see to it that all permits and paperwork are completed prior to cremation taking place.
4) Our Cremation Process
We only cremate one person at a time and our cremation chamber is never used for pets and animals. The metal identification tag is safeguarded during the cremation process.
5) Transfer Back To You
When the cremated remains are transferred back your family, the metal identification tag will be included inside the urn so that it will never be lost. The number on the tag will be part of our company’s record keeping archive. While Conway & Markham abides by these cremation safeguards, it is important to note that we do NOT have a crematory.
