Beverly R. Clancy

Beverly R. Clancy, age 88, formerly of New Hampton, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Lutheran Hospice in Wheat Ridge, CO.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in New Hampton. There will be a two hour visitation prior to the memorial service on Saturday. Online condolences may be left at www.conway-markhamfh.com.
Beverly was born on November 16, 1930, the daughter of Edward and Helen (Biekert) Griffin. She graduated from New Hampton High School in 1948 and attended Iowa State Teacher’s College in Cedar Falls. She taught in rural New Hampton schools. Beverly moved to Longmont, CO and was united in marriage to Ken Hazen. Ken and Bev built a house outside of Boulder, CO. The both enjoyed horses and horseback riding. The couple later divorced. She became a self-employed accountant for the duration of her life.
She loved animals and supported animal welfare causes. Any remembrances can be given to an animal welfare organization or shelter in her name.
Beverly is survived by three nephews, Gary (Kristin) Griffin of New Hampton, Garth (Nancy) Griffin of New Hampton, and Allen (Cindy) Griffin of Denver, CO; great nephews and nieces, Cody (Sheri) Griffin, Crystal Griffin, Grant (Sarena) Griffin, Stephanie Griffin, Olivia Griffin and several extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother and sister-in-law, M. Warren and Lois Griffin.
My sincere sympathy to all Bev’s family. The class of 1948 was always special to me. Rest in peace Bev.
Please accept my sincere condolences to the family. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Beverly. The Bible assures us at Psalms 34:18 that God is near to those broken in heart.
