Clifford D. Kutzbach, age 75, of Elma, IA, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage, IA.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in Elma, IA with Pastor Daird Korth officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery at Alta Vista, IA with Douglas Roethler, William Roethler, Jeff Kutzbach, Dean Janssen, Travis Bartz and Roger Gesell serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in Elma.
Clifford Dean Kutzbach was born on May 30, 1941 to Wallace and Velma (Prinz) Kutzbach in Elma, IA. He attended Elma Schools and then graduated from New Hampton High School in 1959. He worked as a auto mechanic in Elma. Cliff was united in marriage to Marlys Cordes on November 26, 1966 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Elma. The couple continued to live in the Elma area and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He worked for Lohaus Construction for several years before becoming employed at Howard County Equity where he worked until his retirement.
Cliff enjoyed bowling, fishing, riding his Harley motorcycle, tinkering in his shop, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, NASCAR, woodworking, plowing the commnity’s gardens and taking care of his grandchildren, donkey, goats and dogs. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Elma.
Cliff is survived by his mother Velma Kutzbach of Elma; his wife, Marlys of Elma; children, Lisa (Travis) Bartz of Charles City, IA, Travis (Christy Fett) Kutzbach of Elma and Claudia (Dean Janssen) Kutzbach of Nashua, IA; sisters, Lynette Thompson of Winfield, KS and Shirley (Mark) Childs of Marietta, GA; brother, Lowell (Anne) Kutzbach of Valrico, FL; grandchildren, Kristian, Bayli, Hayden, Brittany, Marissa, Kyle and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceeded in death by his father Wallace.

Cliff ( good lookin, old man, pops, grandpas) well i did call you many things. I enjoyed talking, laughing nd picking on you for all the years u lived in AV. I recall the many projects that Cliff and I were involved in when I worked at the Midlands station in Elma in the early sixties. We had some great times solving the world’s problems. A great guy. Deepest sympathy to the family.

Sorry I am not able to attend Cliffs service today. I worked with Cliff at the Equity. He was a great guy. Fixed my tank wagon and Lp truck many times . I still have the play house his dad built in our back yard. Wishing the family the best and sorry for your loss.

Joyce Hinz I remember Cliff & Marlys from when we lived in Elma & attended the Lutheran Church also. My heartfelt sympathy to the family. I didn’t know of the funeral until afterwards or I would have attended.
