David J. Rochford, age 35 of New Hampton, IA formerly of Fredericksburg, IA passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton. David Joseph Rochford was born on May 21, 1980 in New Hampton, IA. He attended and graduated from Fredericksburg High School. He attended Riverland Community College in Austin, MN. After his schooling, David began working for Alliant Pipeline and John Deere. He was currently employed at Bay Valley Foods in New Hampton. On August 7, 2010, David was united in marriage to his loving wife, Marcy Worple at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in New Hampton. The couple made their home in New Hampton where David and Marcy welcomed three beautiful daughters, Rylie, Addie and Averie. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, mushroom hunting, playing his Xbox, cheering on his favorite teams which were the Texas Longhorns and Miami Dolphins and cooking. His family was his pride and joy and he loved being a father and husband. David will always be remembered for loving life, his sense of humor and sharing his bright smile to light up every room. Left to cherish David’s memory are his loving wife, Marcy Rochford of New Hampton; his beautiful daughters, Rylie, Addie and Averie; his parents, Tom and Kathy Rochford of Fredericksburg, IA; Mike Grahlman of Missouri; his brothers, Dale (Jackie) Rochford of New Hampton, Nathaniel Rochford and Jeff Rochford both of Fredericksburg, IA; grandparents, May Schoessler, and Josephine Rochford both of Sumner, IA; mother-in-law, Nancy Worple of Elma, IA; his sisters-in-law, Shawna (Mark) Abbas of New Hampton and Courtney Worple of Rochester, MN; many nieces, nephews and numerous extended family. Preceding him in death was his grandfathers, William Schoessler, James Rochford and Dale Grahlman; his brother, William Bolte and his father-in-law, Craig Worple.

  2. My condolences to the family. Dave was a funny and kind person. He was a constant presence in my teen years and then later, my neighbor. I will never forget how his face lit up when he spoke of his wife. May he rest in peace and his family persevere knowing he will most certainly be watching over you.
