Memories Timeline

  1. Dixe’s Family: I offer my Prayers at this sad time of loss. knew Dixie from the Manor. Dixie & My Mommy were roomates for a few months. Mom enjoyed the chats they had & shared a love for Reading. I spoke to Dixie when I came to visit Mom & Dixie was sitting outside. When Mom was ill, I shared a conversation with her. She had received a Dr. report that her heart was not good. I told her I was sorry to hear that & would say prayers for her, which I’ve done. She talked to me about my beliefs on death. I was a bit shocked, but we did share our views. I told her when our life on Earth dies, our SpiritSoul rises to Heaven for eternal life. She asked me if I really believed that & I said,”Yes I Do.” She seemed relieved, at peace. She was a Beautiful Lady & Soul & I am blessed to have known her. God Bless All. Debbie Morrison

  3. Please accept our sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. Jesus promises that we will be able to see our loved ones again at John 5:28,29 which talks about the resurrection hope. What a wonderful hope that will be! May this bible thought bring you comfort at this difficult.

  4. Remembering Dixie in our high school years – Band, Chorus, Class Plays and Drama Club,Annual Staff and School Paper, And our Homecoming Queen! Oh My, where have the years gone? Be with God Dixie.
    Susie (Stier) Kjeer

  6. Our sympathies to Dixie’s friends and family. I enjoyed so many visits with Dixie… She was a wonderful person.

  7. Dixie was a Beautiful Lady with a big loving and caring heart. To us Dixie was family. Dexie was so helpful and smart. I (Susan) showed Dexie how to knit slippers and she went right at it and did good so good she made many pears of slippers. She helped with our 66 Motel (before we sold it) and in evening we sat in swing outside around fire had good times together. Steven and Dexie enjoyed talking to each other. Grand-kids loved Dexie and Dexie loved them. We feel bad we didn’t know Dexie was in nursing home if we knew we would of come to see her. We know now Dexie is in good loving hands with no pain. She has her angel wings. Our family and love ones have a lot of memories of Dixie. Dexie will be missed. To siblings and family members you have our sincere condolence.

Steven and Susan Laack and family.

  8. To Dixies siblings and family members, I remember her as my classmate Gene’s sister. I sat on the bus with her and remember her sweetness and smile. I saw her again in about 1990’s when she came to my door looking fora place to live. Her life had deteriorated so much I could not believe it and I felt so much sadness for her. So my sympathy is with you all but her struggle with life is over and Jesus has given her peace. Peace be with all of you!

  9. Mary Lou Gilbert-Crilly
Didn’t know Dixie, but knew Vickie and Jim. My condolence’s to the family. God Bless you all.

  10. I look at that beautiful picture and I can’t help recall so many good times with Dixie in the Class of “61. I send my condolence’s to her siblings, many of whom we also had great times with out at the Olson farm, singing until the wee hours of the morning. RIP Dixie

  11. Prayers and sympathy to the Kennedy family as you say good-bye to Dixie. I can still hear her laugh as the Grand Meadow Class of 1961 did something silly and got in trouble for doing it. Although it made me sad to hear of Dixie’s passing, it made me glad to know she is at peace. Bless the memory of our beautiful homecoming queen!

  12. Lill Jensen
I am so sorry for your loss. Dixie was a wonderful person. She always had a smile on her face, was kind to everyone, and was a beautiful homecoming queen. Keeping the family in my prayers.
    Lill (Mathison) Jensen

  13. Cathy Hoffert : I si ng at Colonial Manor every other month. Dixie had her favorites that I sang. We became friends right away. She had the most loving spirit.
