Irma Marie was born May 9, 1938, the daughter of Alphonse and Lauretta (Gerleman) Hageman in Calmar, IA. She graduated from Notre Dame Catholic School in Cresco and continued her education at St. Mary’s School of Nursing, graduating in 1958. In college, she met her husband on a blind date set up by one of her many close friends. Irma and Reynold were united in marriage on December 27, 1961 in Cresco, IA. The couple made their home on the Tenge family farm near North Washington. Irma and Reynold raised five children: Kimberly, Randy, Alan, Sandra and Daniel. Irma was an amazing friend, partner, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cared deeply for family, cherished her many long time friendships and was always available to help her community through volunteering. She shared her nursing talents through Hospice and patching up her children. She was active in Hospice care, her Immaculate Conception church community and local quilting circle, among many other activities.
Irma loved her friends and made it a point to remain in contact through various activities supporting them, as they supported her. We thank the quilting family, the card playing friends, her neighbors and all others who touched her life through the years.
Those forever celebrating memories are her children: Kimberly (Gregory) Rosene of Hartford, WI, Randy Tenge of Chisago Lakes, MN, Alan Tenge of Cottontown, TN, Sandra (Dean) Opdahl of Hartland, WI, Dan Tenge of Prior Lake, MN; her grandchildren, Nate (Sharon) Rosene, Caylin Rosene, Nicholas Tenge, Roman Tenge, Jack Tenge, Olivia Tenge, Zachary Opdahl, Sydney Opdahl; great-grandchild, Rhys; her brother, Gene Hageman of Harmony, MN; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Reynold; her siblings, Ruth, Bill and Lawrence.
