I grew up next door to Duane and his Wife. If i remember right, he could sit on a bike backwards and peddle forward. A very nice neighbor
Joe and Mary,
I was sadden like many others at Colonial Manor to learn of Duane’s passing. He was my Person Directed Care “Buddy” and I’ll always fondly remember our walks through the streets on Elma as well as the daily Des Moines Register deliveries. He was special and will be missed. – Jim
R.I.P. our friend!
What a great neighbor and friend. We always enjoyed spending time with Duane. Celebrating birthdays together and going out for meals was always fun. The girls always enjoyed the trips to look at the crops and of course get ice cream along the way! He was very special to us.
