LuAnn M. Glaser, age 50, of New Hampton, Iowa, died on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. LuAnn Marie Heying was born on October 19, 1961 to Francis “Mike” and Arlene (Schwickerath) Heying in New Hampton, Iowa. LuAnn attended school in New Hampton graduating from New Hampton High School in 1980. She started working at Alta Vista State Bank immediately following high school for several years before transferring to First Citizens National Bank in New Hampton where she has been employed to the present. LuAnn loved life, fishing, the outdoors, family, friends, her work and coworkers. She always wanted to be on the go and she never gave up. She was a member of St. Joseph Center – Holy Family Parish. LuAnn is survived by her parents, Francis “Mike” and Arlene Heying of Alta Vista; daughters Tiffany Glaser (Brian Fisher) of Nashua, Iowa, Tara Glaser (Mitchel Hardy) of Waterloo, Iowa and Kelsey Glaser of New Hampton; grandchildren Josslynn Glaser, Trevin Hardy, and Elizabeth and Bailey Fisher; Special friend Matt Beckman and his sons Jacob and Tyler of New Hampton; sister Shari (Dale) Blocker of Ionia, Iowa; brothers Roger (Irene) Heying, Larry (Cindy) Heying, Greg (Nancy) Heying, Ken (Luann) Heying and Randy (Jenn) Heying all of New Hampton, Don (Jackie) Heying of Byron, Minnesota and Michael (Dawn) Heying of Ionia; special niece Missy (Scott) Hackman of New Hampton; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by one brother Edward Heying and her paternal and maternal grandparents. Cemetery: Active casket bearers will be LuAnn’s brothers and sister. Honorary casket bearers will be LuAnn’s coworkers at First Citizens National Bank of New Hampton. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Alta Vista at a later date. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 from 3-8 pm with a scriptural wake service at 4:00 pm at the Conway-Markham Funeral Home in New Hampton. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Holy Family Parish – St. Josephs Center in New Hampton with Fr. Mark Osterhaus celebrating.

    LuAnn was a cool person, always a smile on her face when I saw her. She had a good sense of humor. Last time I saw her she made light of what she was dealing with and her treatments, what a strong woman. She has left behind a loving family and 3 strong young women, with her loving happy spirit to guide you.
