Lynn E. Stevenson, age 69 of Alta Vista, IA passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Per Lynn’s wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Lynn Eugene Stevenson was born March 26, 1948 to Lynn B. and Amojean (Murphy) Stevenson in Pierre, SD. Lynn was a 1966 graduate of Crestwood High School in Cresco, IA. After graduating, Lynn was united in marriage to Diana Wolfgram on June 11, 1966 at Immaculate Conception Church in Elma, IA. The couple made their home in Charles City, IA where Lynn was employed at Ted’s Auto Electric as an auto mechanic. They moved to Waterloo where he worked for Dick Grey Lincoln-Mercury. They then moved to the Osage area where he began working for Mon-Ray Windows as a sales manager for seven years before moving to their present home near Alta Vista in 1977. Lynn has been self-employed since. He enjoyed rebuilding flathead engines and marketing them all over the world, playing cards, watching birds, listening to Elvis and spending time with his family. Those left to cherish Lynn’s memory include his wife, Diana Stevenson of Alta Vista, IA; his children, Annette (Marc) Stoehr Stevenson of Emskirchen, Germany, Darla (Lance) Sharar of Iowa Falls, IA, Lynn M. (Amy) Stevenson of Waverly, IA and Daniel (Whitney) Stevenson of Alden, IA; his grandchildren, Nadine, Kelsie, Angelia, Presley, Claire, Cashton, and Lily; his great grandson, Liam; his brother, Mike (Diana) Stevenson of Prairie Du Chien, WI; his sisters, Cheri (Dennis) Austin of Elma, IA and Terri (Darwin) Kock and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
