I can’t tell you what an influence ‘from afar’ Mattie had on our girls! When our girls were young, Mattie was in our conversation every Sunday after church. Yes, we were talking about her creative hat collection. Looking to see what Mattie was wearing was a weekly event and discussing how she made each one was so much fun. God bless Mattie’s family and thank you for sharing this wonderful lady with our community, especially our family.
Our sympathy goes to all of Mattie Family. She was a very special lady, and a joy to know. Our girl’s also loved to visit
her and our granddaughters, they thought it was so neat how she made all her own hats, they also liked her paintings she did..She is now in a great place with Shiela and Greg.
Our Prayers and thoughts are with you, Tom and Marian & Family.
To the Gebel family i’m so sorry for your loss Mattie was a great women i got to know her at nhnrc,i loved to stop and chat with her.May God Bless
To family of Mattie, I grew up as Mattie’s second daughter. Sheila and I were always together, when you saw her you saw me. We all shared a lot of good memories and fun. Sheila and I corresponded up to her being taken home with her Dad, Greg. Now at last Mattie can join them at home. I can hear the laughing and see the joyful reunion. God Bless them and watch over us!
Although I did not know your dear loved one, I saw the obituary online and wanted to send along my condolence. I know this is a very difficult time for the family. Something that has always given me comfort is a scripture at Revelation 21:4, it says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” I sincerely hope this brings you some comfort.
