Patti Slick-Hoeck, age 38 of New Hampton, IA passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Allen Hospital. Funeral services for Patti will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hampton with Pastor Kevin Frey officiating. Burial will be at New Hampton Cemetery in New Hampton, IA. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in New Hampton and will continue at the church one hour prior to the funeral services on Saturday. Patti Rae Hoeck was born August 18, 1979 to Ricky and Donna (Ransom) Slick in New Hampton, IA. The family moved to Charles City, IA where Patti graduated from Charles City High School. After graduating, Patti worked at Pizza hut. She later moved to New Hampton where she was employed at Beatrice, Ross Marketing, Liddle’s Grocery and most recently, Great Plays Day Care. Patti enjoyed children, volunteering throughout the community, and watching Harry Potter movies. She thoroughly enjoyed visiting with people she met. Her pride and joy was her daughter, Maddie. Patti was her number one fan! She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hampton and Big Ed’s Beach Bash Committee. Left to cherish Patti’s memory is her mother, Donna Slick; her daughter, Madison Hoeck, both of New Hampton; her brothers, Jeremy Slick of New Hampton and Joey Slick of Mason City, IA and numerous aunts, uncles and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ricky Slick in 2012.

  1. So Sorry to hear about a Patti. She was such a fun loving person. She was a great Mama to her Maddie. She was so proud of Maddie and a all that she excelled in. Maddie you had a Mom who worked so you could have what she new want you needed. God Bless you and your Grandma and those uncles. You are special.

Over the years that I have lived in New Hampton Patty and I have talked a lot in the beginning when I worked at Dollar General we talked a lot about Maddie because little Maddie loved comming over next door to DG and talk to me while I worked Patti also sat outside with me when I was on my breaks at my car smoking and we talked about a lot she was a kind hearted easy to talk to person and will be greatly missed May her light always shine in everyone that new her

  5. Patti had a special place in her heart for each and every child at daycare! You could tell she just loved her job…… I know my boys loved her! Tonight Kole just started singing a song. When he was done, I said who taught you that song? He smiled and said Patti:) She always had a smile on, and greeted you with a Good Morning! RIP Patti- you will be forever missed!
