  8. Paul Harvey had Charles and his brothers in mind when he gave that inspirational ‘So God Made a Farmer’ speech in 1978. I had the privilage learning agriculture from these men, something I cherish now although not as a farmer, but someone that can appreciate the good works Farmers do everyday. God Bless and thank you Uncle Charles for a job well done.

  13. Barb, John, Judy and Norma and all the family,
You are in our thoughts and prayers. We will always remember Charles as a dear cousin and friend.
I agree with the post by Mike Boyle, “and God made a Farmer” sums up Charles perfectly.
We will be with you in ‘Spirit’ tomorrow. May God Bless you and keep you.
    Your cousin,
    Virgil and Connie Dykes

  14. So very sorry to hear of Charles passing – He was such a special member of the class of 1959 Immaculate Conception Academy ELma – My prayers are with his family and I will remember Charles in my daily prayers. Judi Freidhof Henderson , Georgia

  15. To all of Uncle Charles’ family, You have been in our thoughts and prayers. I liked the title “gentle giant” from a previous post…that describes him perfectly as I think about him when I was growing up. Now I envision him clapping and dancing with the angels on the streets of gold with the rest of his family already there. Wish we could be there to support and share the burden of loss today but the weather is not cooperating. May God’s peace be with us all.
