Hilmer O. Korth, age 94, of Clear Lake, Iowa and formerly of Sullivan, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at his home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 25, 2019 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Elma, Iowa with Pastor Daird Korth officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Elma, Iowa and will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday October 28, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sullivan, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from noon to the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Lutheran Cemetery at Watertown, Wisconsin. Hilmer Oswald Korth was born on December 4, 1924 to Oswald and Esther (Hensler) Korth in Watertown, Wisconsin. He attended school at Johnson Creek, Wisconsin where he graduated and played on the state basketball championship team. Hilmer was united in marriage to Alice Webb on October 28, 1951 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Watertown, Wisconsin. He was employed at the Oconomowoc Canning Company as a field man. He later became manager of the Globe Milling Feed Mill in Helenville, Wisconsin. Hilmer was employed by Reul Brothers Implement until his retirement. He continued dairy farming unil he moved to Ventura, Iowa in 2011. Hilmer enjoyed riding and colecting Indian motorcycles, he and his wife Alice enjoyed playing euchre and Schafkopf also known as Sheep’s Head. He loved dancing with his wife Alice. Hilmer was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sullivan, Wisconsin and is currently a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Elma, Iowa. Hilmer is survived by his son Reverend Daird (Melody) Korth of Clear Lake, Iowa; grandchildren Nicholas (Jodi) Korth, Christopher (Catherine) Korth, Sandra (Justin) Overland, and Sarah (Travis) Stangel; and 11 great grandchildren. Hilmer is preceded in death by his parents Oswald and Esther Korth; wife Alice (2011); and daughter-in-law Carol (2013).
