  97. To Michelle and the entire Loes family. Very sorry to hear about Jason. May God grant you the strength and peace you need during this difficult time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

  98. To the Loes Family & his Beloved Fiance Michelle:
I met Walter & Jason in 1994 when they boarded the Amtrak train in Ottuma IA. I was on my way to reunite with my father, whom I had not seen in 26 yrs, and they were heading to Rosewood Calif. I was scared & nervous, but when these two boarded the train it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. We introduced ourselves & started chatting and soon it was like we had known each other our whole lives. We shared our story as to why we were on the train & Jason made it his mission to keep my mind occupied & looking back it seemd like Jason knew what was about to happen. We played cards the first night & the next night we watched Robocop II & chatted till the wee hrs. of the morning, watching the world go by outside the window. Then all of us went for breakfast & soon it was time for my new friends to leave the train. When they left & went their way I had the saddest feeling that I would never see him again. He said “I’ll call you in 3 days to see how you are”. When I arrived in San Mateo my father was on life support due to a ceribrel hemmorage & died 2 days later. It was like he knew something bad was going to happen and to this day I thank God for putting all of us a path that we should meet. We kept in touch but not as often as we could have because life just got in the way. We said ” we really should get together again, you me & Grampa” but our lives were always out of sync. Now I know I will never see him again & what breaks my heart is I should have made the time. I thought I had time next year when I will be moving to Indiana & call him up and say “Hey almost neighbor!!” I have learned a valuable but painful lesson…..time is NEVER a guarentee. I should have made time to call and say hi, but now all I can do is hold onto those memories of my friends I met on the train. Jason was and still is an Angel sent from Heaven to watch over all whom he meets. Rest in Peace my friend, I know you will be watching over all of us. On a lighter note, I’m sure Jason has caused all kinds of ruckus in heaven, playing a practial joke on his sister, teasing the Saints, he was SUCH a fun-loving man. Our world is a little darker now, but Heaven is a little brighter too. I will keep all of you in my prayers, especially Michelle. My heart aches for your loss, I can not even begin to imagine your pain, but take comfort in knowing you will never walk alone, for Jason will always be at your side. And Mr. & Mrs. Loes, no parents should ever have to bury their children, especially 2 of them. God never gives us a cross heavier than we can carry, but it just seems so unfair. Take comfort in knowing they are together in Heaven and one day they will greet you at the Golden Gates. Thank you for letting me know of his passing and giving me a chance to say goodby. I love ya Jason, I’ll talk you in my dreams, where there is no measure of time……

  99. We will miss you Jason, You were a one of a kind Man.

You were one of the best freinds & cousins that a Kentucky girl could have had. Love & Miss you

  104. Loes family & Michelle: My heartfelt sympathy to all of you at this trying time. Jason was an amazing person and will be dearly missed by all that knew him. I feel blessed to have had the chance to know him. He always knew how to brighten a person’s day. While it is never easy to loose a child, take comfort in knowing that you have another gaurdian angel looking over the rest of your family and Bridgette has her big brother with her.

  105. Reading through the messages from family, friends & loved ones it is clear Jason positively impacted many, many lives. For those who knew him for years it’s evident they have been graced by his zest for life and compassion for people; for us who’s time with Jason was shorter we realize how lucky we were to share those moments in his presence.

Our hearts go out to entire family and our thoughts and prayers are with you daily…may God give you strength in your time of sorrow.

You have my deepest sympathy. There are so many memories of growing up with Jason, Cory, and Bridget, from football, many rounds of pool, playing ball, and swimming at the pond! Jason was as sincere as they come, and we are all better to have known him. Words cannot express my sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Also when we used to go on random shopping trips && not buy a thing. He was always “The cool Cousin” I love you!
