Sandra Miller, age 52 of Elma, IA passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at her home in Elma with her family by her side. Sandra Dorraine was born on January 23, 1963 in Oakland California to Allen and Lorraine (Biehs) Malmin. She attended Castro Valley High School. After completing her education, Sandra joined the California Conservation Corps. She then worked at the Picnic People in managing and food catering, as well as setting up activities for the business. In 1993, Sandra moved to New Haven, Iowa, spending her time caring for her family. She ran the Mitchel Town Pump for a time. Sandra also ran Hatties Hobby Haven in Elma. Her passion was gardening, selling produce, flowers, and she was an excellent canner. She loved going on roller coaster rides, but most of all she loved spending time with her Grandson, and taking him and daughter, Hattie to do special things. Sandra is survived by her husband, Keith Miller of Elma; her parents, Allen and Lorraine Malmin of Orchard, IA; her children, Ashley Worthy of Orchard, William (McKenzie Burke) Worthy of Ankeny, Coleman (Cindy) Worthy of Mason City and Hattie Miller of Elma and her grandsons, Jeremy Lembke and Koda Worthy. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and brother, Mike Malmin.

  1. Keith & Family, So Sorry to hear of Sandy’s passing. I worked with her at both Comp Systems & Wallace. She was kinda enough to give me a ride to work while my vehicle was being repaired, was appreciated. She didn’t hold back on her words & opinions, Sassy.
