Hazel A. Johnson

Hazel A. Johnson, age 82, of Alta Vista, Ia died of liver cancer on Monday morning at the Colonial Manor in Elma, IA.
Hazel was born on September 20, 1926 to Levi L and Carrie (Roethler) Markle on the family farm North of New Hampton, IA. Hazel was united in marriage to Harold Carl Johnson on April 18, 1952 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA. They made their home in Alta Vista, IA. Hazel enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Hazel is survived by one brother, Frank (Donna) Markle of Grimes, IA; two sister-in-laws, Ethel (Bill) Johnson of Greenville, SC, and Charlotte F Markle of Maquoketa, IA; one brother-in-law Ralph Feterolf, of Hesperia, CA; several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; two brothers Albert L Markle and Arthur J Markle.
Cemetery:
Burial will be in Crane Creek Cemetery, rural Lawler.
Visitation:
Visitation will be 10:00am-11:00am on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Lawler.
Service:
Funeral services will be 11:00am on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Immanuel Luther Church, rural Lawler with Pastor Matthew Voyer officiating.
