  20. My deepest sympathy to all the family. Loraine and I went to school together and have been friends ever since. After we were married we lived neighbors and have been friends forever. I will miss her as I am sure all of the family and friends will too. She was a great gal—friend and neighbor and always there to help anyone—I will surely miss her and send my deepest sympathy to all the family. I am afraid I will not be able to come to the funeral—but thoughts and prayers are with you all—
    Love and Prayers —Sally Carney.

  21. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I have many memories from my youth of all my uncles and aunts. One memory of Loraine is from when I was probably around 10 years old and Vincent’s brothers and sisters and families were all at our house on a cold winter day. Loraine said, (and, by the way, I have quoted her many times), “When it comes to the weather in Iowa, we just take what we get.”
