Guestbook

  1. Dear Gerald and girls, Marilyn will be missed greatly! Her many years spent volunteering at the hospital were valued and appreciated! She volunteered with a smile on her face and a lively spirit of volunteerism ~ always giving, giving, giving. “In the time we have, it is surely our duty to do all the good we can to all the people we can in all the ways we can.” This quote fits Marilyn to a “T” and the life she chose to live…to the fullest! May the special memories and wonderful support of all who loved her help you through this painful time. With heartfelt sympathy, Francie Crawford

  2. It’s with a heavy heart that I write this message. We are very sad to hear of the passing of Rose. What a wonderful woman she was! Please spend time remembering all of wonderful families moments you have had. Remember her smile and laughter…that’s what we’ll remember!

    Love –
Mark, Diane, Riley & Megan Murphy

  3. Our dear friend, fondly called “Rose”, has sadly left us. Fortunately, the many memories of friendship and fun times will never leave us. I am so honored to be chosen as one of her pall bearers, and yet saddened not to be able to fulfill the role, due to a preplanned vacation to New York City. Yet, of all people, Rose would want us to go ahead with the plans as our entire adult family
celebrates “Christmas in July.” The Johnson family will indeed be close to our hearts as we travel. We are grateful for their friendship and for the opportunities to be with Rose during her last days. Thanks for the great memories. Glennda and Wally Murphy

  4. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and the girls. Marilyn always had a smile and good things to share with all. The world has definitely lost a fine lady. God Bless.

  5. We know that Marilyn is now resting in peace. May God bless her soul and give you family stregth to endure without her. Roy & Pat Coil

  15. Jennifer, we wish to extend our sincere sympathies to you on the death of your mother. Of course, please extend those sympathies to your father, other family, and friends as well. We never had the privilege of meeting your mother. But, she must have been terrific to turn out such a good kid.

  16. We were shocked to learn about Rose’s passing. We still talk about the time we had brunch at Paris in Vegas. We all know that Jen would rather read a book than be in Vegas. Our sympathy to your family.

  17. Jennifer and family,
There are no good words other than we are sorry for your loss and are thinking of you.

  18. We just want to let Marilyn’s family know how much we (and other neighbors) enjoyed having Marilyn and Gerald join our neighborhood. We had good times visiting, and eating, and teaching them to play Sequence and Train Dominoes. (Gerald needs more practice.) The funeral service was such a lovely, moving tribute. I’m sure Marilyn/Rose was smiling through it. You all have our deepest sympathy and prayers.

  19. We were so sorry to hear of Marilyn’s passing. Please accept our very sincere sympathy. If you are down our way, please feel free to drop in and visit. We would like that very much.
    Clifford and Marcie Trent

  20. Dear Gerald and Family: I am deeply saddened by Marilyn’s death, the loss of such a special friend and companion will be with you a long time. I remember the times of babysitting the ‘girls’, giving them their Sat. night baths and tucking them into bed with such fondness. I always marveled at how such a busy mom like Marilyn had the energy to keep such a beautiful and loving home, always with a smile. I am sorry I was unable to join you for your special day of goodbye. I will stop in when next I am in town to visit my folks.

  21. Gerald Johnson & Family,

Just wanted to let you know that we are thinking of you during this time of grief for Marilyn. Our condolences are extended to all. Sincerely Dan & Pat Fliger

  22. Gerald and family. We were very saddened to hear of the loss of Rose. She was a very special person and will be greatly missed. Remembering the wonderful times spent with her will keep her close to your heart. Extending our deepest sympathy.

  23. Dear Gerald and Girls, It is with heavy hearts we have learned, from Glennda and Wally, of Rose’s passing. We truly enjoyed every meeting with her and certainly all the lovely morsels she set before us when you kindly had us to your home. You are in our thoughts. We pray you are sustained by your memories of a good woman. Matt and Sue Casey, Chicago
