Your mom was a terrific neighbor the roughly 50 years that they live nex to each other. Your Mom was so in good detecting the days that mom was having a difficult time, and truly offering emotional support. Her visits near Mom’s end were truly helpful for mom. She enjoyed thevisits by Marvl.

  12. Dear Jan,
I was so sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing.

It was always so nice to see her when I visited New Hampton. She always had a big smile and a hug for me.

Some photos posted on this site brought back wonderful memories of our time as neighbors and later when I would visit you after you moved by the pool.

Remember all the good times you were so fortunate to have had with her. A mother’s love is with you forever.

    Love,

    Nancy Lee

  13. Jan and Bruce, Bruce and Lori, and all Marvel’s Family,
So very sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. Marvel was indeed one of a kind. Living on East Main ourselves, we often saw her walking by–but, you really had to look fast. Larry walks to work most days and he always said that if he heard footsteps coming up behind him, he knew it was Marvel and she WOULD be passing him! She will be missed. You are in our thoughts and prayers! May your memories bring you peace.
