Mildred Martha Briggs
December 20, 1918 ~ October 31, 2015
Mildred M. Briggs, age 96 of New Hampton, IA passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at New Hampton Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mildred “Millie” Briggs was born on December 20, 1918 on the family farm near North Washington to George and Martha (Zimmer) Nosbisch. She graduated from North Washington High School. Millie met and was united in marriage to Rolley L. Briggs and the couple made their home in Fargo, ND where they lived until Rolley’s retirement. They then moved to Phoenix, AZ where they lived until Rolley’s death in 1990. Millie then returned to New Hampton where she has lived ever since. Millie enjoyed fishing with her husband, playing cards, going out to eat with friends, traveling and visiting with her family. She was a member of Holy Family Parish.
Millie is survived by several nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Germaine Nosbisch of New Hampton. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Martha Nosbisch; husband Rolley L. Briggs; brothers Harold, Raymond, and Francis Nosbisch; and sisters Gladys Birmingham and Florine Murray.

We send our deepest sympathy to Millie’s family. I first met Mildred when she traveled with Mercy hospital’s Silver Advantage Club. She was an avid supporter and a classy lady! May she rest in peace.
Mildred joined us for the “Widow’s Club” on Saturday night after Mass
at Poor Richard’s many times. We enjoyed her company. God rest her soul.

I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the family. A wonderful promise is found in Revelation 21:4 which says, “He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Just imagine what joy we will feel when we greet our loved ones again.
