  3. I remember sitting in the backyard by the fire. He brought me over to talk. I thought I was gonna be scolded. He told me, “Everyone makes mistakes. We have to look back and decide if it was worth it. You dont have to listen to what people want you to do, but you better believe in what you’re gonna do next.” Those words changed how I saw things moving forward.

  4. In August of 2017, Dianne and I had one of those rare chances to get to Ionia for a couple of days and visit Pete & Thelma, Bill & Marie and Mae & Junior. I remembered when Uncle Pete taught me and my brother to ride horses at the farm one summer in the early ’60’s. His infectious laugh and beaming smile were still there at our wedding in ’97 following Mom’s passing, and at two family gatherings afterwards. With Uncle Bill, Pete and I wrestled with the air conditioning on our RV to no avail, but we felt much younger again, and that smile and laugh were still there. Uncle Pete’s still laughing now, with the pain in his body finally gone, he is free to do whatever he wants. We will miss him dearly and our hearts are with you Aunt Thelma and the family he loved so much. Thank you Pete, and God bless and keep you.

  8. Thelma, Theresa and family. It is with great sadness that I offer you my most heartfelt condolences. Pete had a deep and profound impact on my life. I have never forgotten how he always chose to show me kindness and understanding when he had every right, not to. He was truly amazing and so very, very special. Some of my fondest memories of growing up in Iowa – is the love that I witnessed at the Adams household in Ionia. It was the absolute best. And so was Pete. – Rich Christensen

  9. Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss of your beloved Mr. Adams. May the promise of the resurrection promised by Christ Jesus comfort you during this time of great sorrow. (John 5:28,29)

  10. Thelma and family, Sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Keep your memories close to heart.
    Jim and Dixie

  11. My deepest sympathies for your loss. Even though I haven’t lived in Ionia since I was 12, I clearly remember Pete’s always smiling face (even when Patti and I annoyed him at work) and his love for his family.

Patti, I feel terrible that I wasn’t able to attend the services. I’m so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Sending my love.
