Ronald “Ron” Francis Panoch, 72, of Punta Gorda, FL formerly of New Hampton, IA passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016 from natural causes, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL. Ron was born August 8, 1943, right after his twin brother, Don to William Joseph and Rose Ann (Bilek) Panoch. Ron was born in Howard County and raised on different farms in the Cresco area. He attended country schools in Howard County and later New Hampton High School. Ron married Nancy L. Zubrod September 19, 1964 then started working for John Deere in Waterloo after their first child, Susie, was born. Ron, and his twin brother, Don, were involved in a car accident on their way home from work. This accident changed the course of Ron’s life. After four years of recovery Ron was able to go to Auto Body School in Calmar, IA. After he graduated, he started Ron’s Auto Body in Ionia, IA. Ron continued in the auto body business until he retired at the age of 62. While living in Ionia for seventeen years, Ron served on the Ionia City Council, was a volunteer Fireman and helped usher at church. Ron, Nancy and Gary moved to South Florida in 1986 and settled in Punta Gorda where the warm weather made it easier for Ron not to be on crutches in the winter. Ron loved his family and his home on the canal. He always did his own yard work and helped his children and Nancy with their car issues. His hobby was working on cars and taking care of his 1964 Chevy. He was always so satisfied to be at home and taking care of his properties. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Nancy of 52 years, loving children: Susie (William) Sudah, Karen Panoch, friend, Jean Jacques Barilleau and Gary (Christine) Panoch. Grandchildren: Kendrick, Caleb, Landon, Lucas Panoch and Gabriella Sudah, siblings: GiGi Wollenberg, Joseph Panoch, Ray (Carol) Panoch, his twin brother, Don Panoch and several nieces and nephews.
